Music by Jean King

RETURN HOME

Upon returning to the East Coast from visits back home, I began composing more music about my hometown. This recording, which is dedicated to my father,  contains songs about him and the downtown area where he grew up.

I inherited my father's ear for music, and without his encouragement I would not have developed my music career. The songs in this recording reflect music styles of the '30s and '40s, the time in which he lived. The music is a collection of show tunes: three instrumentals, two spoken by me, and four vocal recordings.
